Have noticed in engine bays what looks like lines of caulking under the paint in various places...... Does anyone know what it is and what it was for? |

Anybody know what the best product match is to the original seam sealer used from factory? and also how to apply it to look the same/original? |

As long as it's applied in the same way as original stuff, no one will know what it is. Why use old inferior stuff when the new super dooper stuff. |

Whatever the new good stuff is , just go find a preschooler to apply it to get a consistant result similar to the old stuff. ![]() ![]() |

my local paint shop recommended T-Rex Fast Grab - same as this: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Soudal-T-Rex ... 1911286582 I used it to redo my roof gutters and stick on my seam covers.... I haven't used anything else, but it was easy to work with and stuck really really well as I found when I tried to remove some. 3M product "seam sealer" and "drip check". Seam sealer goes on with a six inch brush and a lack of interest for the best results and drip check is for budding cake decorators....... |

A BMC Australia service bulletin that details the application of sealer/calking compound has been added to the Archive folder. viewtopic.php?f=49&t=95451 |
