hey all, recently got myself a mini on coils. theres a knock when you go up a drive way and get one wheel up first. but last night I found on a decent dip or bump it seems to bottom out. greig malaure raised the front end but the noise is still there. he said he notcied there werent any bump stops and the old owner told me he took them out....

should they be on there? what shold I check? car drives fine. it just sound pretty bad when it bottoms out. just wondering if I should check something else. half the people I've spoken to said ditch the coils. I was thinking of that first as Ive never had coils. but half said keep it as they are good.

Step 1:

Install bump stops. They're there for a reason.
If your car is too low to install bump stops then raise it, then repeat step 1.

according to the old owner his installation manual said to remove them. I'm doubtful but well, he removed them. LOL

so thats probably the first step.

is it an easy enough job?
