Went for a cruise and coffee today in the Deluxe, come across a chap who invited me into his barn to have a look at his Mini 850. Complete but in 1000 pieces black 850, matching engine and chassis numbers. Motor is out of the car but complete and runs on the bench. He plans to restore it someday, but you never know. Some photos attached and can get more. Appears it is a 1964 model. Can anyone out there confirm this please. |

Thanks guys, much appreciated. I'm under the impression that black 850's are a bit rare. Are they worth any more than regular coloured ones. Hey John, is that build date. Wiper motor has '64 on it. |

Wiper motors came from the UK, so are normally a few months ahead of the build date here. |

All cars were "assembled" in Australia. Engines with "Y" as the second digit were assembled in Australia - this started in early 1964. Prior to this, engines were imported complete and had 8AM prefix This car's engine is #20462 ? |
