Hi all

I'm in the process of replacing the starter solenoid on the clubby and need some help in the wiring dept. The new solenoid is slightly different to the old one so there is one connection I'm unsure of.

Where does the wire (marked with white blob) go on the new solenoid?

New solenoid (I'm thinking it goes on the connection marked A ?)

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I goes back onto the same post as the battery 12V lead with the other 2 wires.

A new terminal connector with 1 large and 1 small male spade should have come with the new solenoid or just cleanup and reuse the old one it was originally plugged into.

That extra terminal on the 4 terminal solenoid is used as a 12V bypass for a ballast ignition system. Here is some info on it -

Yes...it sure looks like the switch wire...

to test, leave it disconnected initially, turn ignition on, turn your ignition key (needs a helper) then carefully touch the connector to the spade lug...Vrooom?
