Hey all. I bought a 2002 Cooper S last year and recently the horns stopped working. I have been working with my father to investigate and we believe the issue is the Horn relay. After some research and finding where the relay is we located it and began to remove it. i had been told previously that removing the k2 relay would be fairly easy. When we tried removing it the relay would not budge, and then shattered. Obviously the relay no longer works and we now have the remains of a broken relay stuck in the panel. Does anyone know how or why this happened, and what the next course of action should be, id very much like to get it working again as it has for some reason disabled my window wipers and its coming into winter. Any help would be much obliged

You could just buy another car, it should come with intact relay.

Check the fuses, might have blown it when relay broke. Other than that, I can't help.

It may be that a poor connection or other fault has caused the fuse box and relay to overheat and melt.
There are many variations in the electrics of these cars and you may need to relace the fuse box and relay.
Minis Plus does have alot of used parts in stock for these cars, let us know if we can help. (03) 9729 1323. (B/H)
