Ohhhh dear...after all that work, the boys seem to be cutting corners :?:

All the calcs to get a 50 litre tank and then they fit the filler tube 2-3 centimetres(?) low :!:

To fill the tank they would need to have fuel in the rubber fuel filler hose...not ideal :?

Banding wheels is also not ideal (sick bird in Oz?)...they could have just sourced an alloy wheel with the correct offset (its only money!)

:D

:D

He did say that they were just a trial fit - no word on what the final wheels will actually be.

In an earlier episode I believe he said he selected them because they look like a 13" version of a 10" cooper s wheel or something like that.
Presumably if he continues with them and can't source a wheel with the correct offset he'd get a proper wheel widening place to do the rest?

All the work they did for that tank! I made an alloy tank for the Moke that is very similar. Long, thin, 2 baffles, efi pump and level sender, return line etc. mine was about 42 litres. Nowhere near as pretty but does the job just as well. Ah the memories...

They extend the top of the tank a little to give an air gap. Don't you guys take notes?!
