I am about to re-fit the seat vinyl to the refurbished seat base but I'm not sure whether the seat trim clips (see before photo) are meant to be just pushed/hammered into place or whether there is some sort of tool available to ease them into place. I'm a bit concerned the vinyl will be damaged if I just hammered them home.

Anyone been here before?

Yes, that how I did mine; just pushed them on by hand.

1 ditto. Push on by hand. The vinyl will be slightly nicked by the clips on the inside but is "factory standard".
