Post subject:  Paint over Bitumen?

Has anyone had any success painting over bitumen? I have revived a roundnose project that was a bare metal respray 30 years ago. The floor pan underside has been painted with bitumen and then sprayed with acrylic. The acrylic has peeled back in a few location but OK in about 75% of the floor area. The floor is solid and rust free so I don't want to disturb the bitumen and because of the textured finish, I can't rub back the acrylic.
Any suggestions on what type of paint I could use to reseal the underfloor that will stick to both the acrylic and bitumen?
Thanks in advance.

Hate to say it, but bitumen!
Black tar over the lot. Will help stop the acrylic from peling off.

Maybe try spraying small area with acetone, might soften paint and allow adhesion.

The best finish I ever got was with Dulux sound deadener/ ripple finished in Dulux enamel, but they stopped making both in the '80s.
Acrylic paint doesn't stick to many surfaces except its own primer.
Enamel is much more adhesive - especially after 30 years of the bitumen drying out.

I had the same and washed it off with petrol. Slow process but worth it. Nothing will adhere properly and will never look original.
