The Mark 1 Cooper S register was updated today by the addition or amendment of 18 entries.

No change to the Cooper, Mark 2 Cooper S or Clubman GT registers this time.

Can someone explain the differences in engine numbers in some cases? Isn't it stamped on the id plate?

The ones that have been highlighted with inconsistent engine numbers are unable to be confirmed at this point in time.

A few of them look like only 1 number is out of sequence so I would say that there was a typo somewhere along the line. There are a few car numbers that have the same engine number and it looks like the typo is with the car numbers.

Not all info is taken directly from sighting ID plates. Some people won't let you look at their ID plates or send through a photo. You have to have a little faith and trust what numbers they quote you.

There has also been a few double ups and mistakes made from transferring info from registers held by other enthusiasts.

The info is slowly being corrected.
