Does anyone have the details on what speed nuts and screws were used to attach the fibre cover over the rot dip hole in the rear firewall? I need some. Cheers |

I believe four Philips headed PK (self-tapper) screws were used. They simply screw into 4 of those doubled over spring clips that slide over the rear panel lined up with the 4 holes. Not sure what those clips are correctly called, but they are the same as the ones used to fix the radiator cowling. I'm sure someone a lot smarter than me will post a photo. |

AEG163job is right. They are panhead/phillips 10gauge x 1/2 inch but with the point ground off (for safety?) since they point into the boot. I think they're the same as the 2 screws holding the boot latch on the top edge. I can't find part numbers for either the speed nuts or self-tappers. The speed nuts will probably be found in car parts shops on Champion parts "trees". They are 1/2 inch (12.7mm) wide x 13/16 inch (20mm) long with the hole right in the centre. And they ARE the same as the radiator speed nuts.... never noticed that before! P/n GHF713 $1.10 @ mini kingdom, etc. |

GHF713 or GHF0713 as shown in my now very dated, but invaluable, Seven Enterprises catalogue and parts list. There's nothing special in the speednuts, just a normal automotive hardware item. Cheers |

p.s. Mini Spares UK list and sell GHF713 but claim while they are popular, were never fitted to a mini (in UK)! |
