About to head off on a long drive in the Cooper S to Melbourne for the BMC Grand Day out. Taking the coast route via Eden NSW. It's a nice drive, I've done it before a few years back. Fingers crossed that the car behaves. I'll try and post some updates along the way.

I also have a box full of 2017 Minis in the Gong Calendars too that will be for sale at the show on Sunday. I will be there with John Sneddon who will be launching and selling his new Mini and Moke reference book.

Sounds like you'll be going through Gippsland on Saturday Phill. Unfortunately I'll be in Melbourne and can't help you out in a breakdown, but keep in mind if you do break down, the guys at ozminisport in Bairnsdale can help you out with parts and repairs at all hours. There are also mini guys at Maffra and Rosedale who have hoists and oddles of parts in their sheds. Post on here if you need any assstance, I'll check in occasionally on the Ipad during the day.

Eden to Lakes entrance is a great drive twisting through tall forests. The last half along the Gippsland plains with long straight stretches is pretty boring. Only issue I had was a rear tyre developed a lump. I've had this happen before. They are old and a bit past their use by date.
