Well i decided that Mini's are too close to the ground to work on
So i got this to help solve the problem
Gave it a look over and a grease
found a few little things to fix
Will be a great help when i pull the engine out

You won't need to "pull the engine out", unbolt the subframe and up goes the body.
Job done :D

No need for that
Just great for unbolting the underneath stuff before lifting the engine
Then if i want i can still move the car around

You may wish to install a photoelectric sensor so that you can't lift it up through the roof.

The Mini fits good as far as the top of the shed goes
Any normal car cant go as high
Plenty of cheap car hoists around for sale
This one needed some repairs to make it safe but its all good now

Yes that would make that easier.
I still much prefer the engine to come out from above, but I have an endless chain that ensures you have millimetre control over the process.
