Hi all

Just a quickie, i have a stock 1100 with a 1 1/4 su, can i put a 1 1/2 on there with extractors and bigger exhaust. just that one person is telling me yes and a friend is saying 1 1/2 is too big. I was sure some 1100s came out with them.

Anyways the only reason i thought i would is i have it on the inlet manifold, and the 1 1/4 one on the car will have to cut the manifold to put the extractors on.

thanks :) julie

Yes you can , also an inlet manifold for an 1-1/2" shouldn't be to hard to find .

Yes it is a common upgrade to give 1100 and 998 a bit more power.
Next step would be to have the head ported and a mild cam

1-1/2" HS4 was fitted standard to 998 and 1100 automatics to give slightly more power. There was a cast iron factory inlet/exhaust manifold to suit. Should also make it easy to know the correct jet needle (DL for 1100 autos).
Long centre branch extractors (not too large in diameter) and an 1 3/4" exhaust were the most effective bolt-on mods I did.
