Does any one know which Champion spark plug caps were supplied as original on the Aussie Cooper S in 1966? I have photos' depicting both the Champion WC 187 & WC 200 caps, & indeed the brochure of the era shows the WC 187 waterproof ones, but maybe that was just for the brochure? Hopefully Stephen Dalton will know??

IIRC the original caps were the WC 200 plastic type or similar Champion ones.
At one stage I had the WC 187 waterproof ones on the car as that is what the rally cars of the day used.
I can't remember if it was on my first 66 S or on my current 68 S.

I'd be interested if Winabby has any documentation as to what they used ( or were supposed to use). All I know is that the cars in Wheels and Modern Motor road tests in 1966 have the wc187 caps and so does the car in the 1968 brochure.

The wc 200 caps and wc 187 are similar in that they are both rubber and similar quality/design. Who knows depending on availability maybe both types were fitted.
