Hi all,

I put new rad in the mini and putting everything back together I didn't use any type of spacer between the pulley and my yellow plastic fan.

Now that it's all back together it looks quite close to the pulley (not touching and runs well)

Do people use any type of spacer on their plastic fans on the round nose, or just pulley then fan? I would definitely prefer to leave it but don't want to destroy my fan !

Thanks!
James

I had to fit a spacer.
The fan cleared the pulley on the crank but when you rev it the fan deflect back towards the crank pulley.
If it starts off a bit close, it will deflect and hit at higher revs.

the fan works best with a spacer - it's meant to sit just inside the lip of the shroud
