Hey, I'm trying to trace back why the mini doesn't have any 12v power hitting the compressor. I've traced it from the compressor back to a harness plug on the passenger side bulk head, now I have the dash apart. Any suggestions on why she's not getting power? The switches on the dash work perfectly |

There is a low pressure switch that will prevent the clutch engaging if low or no gas. |

Had it regassed this morning. Turns out my A6 aircon fuse in the cabin keeps blowing 10amp. I chucked a 30amp in there to test and it blew immediately too.. Looks like a short circuit...where the heck is that going to be? |

Remove all plugs from the aircon components and start reconnecting one at a time. |

Compressor clutches and condensor fans short out often. |

Should I start at the dash and work through the plugs to the compressor? |

The bulkhead plug will tell you if it is inside the cab or under the bonnet. If under the bonnet then i would pull the compressor clutch and consensor fan and then see if it blows. |

Thanks gtogreen I've unplugged the bulkhead harness plug and it's still blowing. I've unplugged the switch panel plug to the temp/blower and it blows...arghhhhhh! Could it be a dodgy relay? |

If there is a similar relay then swap it over to test it Keep plugging away at it ( or in your case - unplugging away) |

The AC relay unit looks like the ECU relay unit, however it's not the same despite its looks. Swapping it with the ECU one may risk damage to lots of things if it is indeed the problem. |

Yea, I did see it under the dash and the one on the engine..I won't be swapping those over! Thanks for the heads up. I've managed to find a wiring diagram for the ac. I've pulled every plug in relation to the fuse box, I'm now going to try and rewire the ignition side to the fuse box....what a night this has turned into! |

I've pulled the plugs to the thermostat, relay module and switch pack and it still blows |

Okay, all 3 are unplugged 100%. I have wired directly from ignition terminal (white) to fuse box white and pop goes the fuse. I am completely out of ideas now |
