those who are running electric senders what are you using?

ive got a VDO sender that came with the gauge & im having a headache of a time with clearance of the vacuum dooflicky on the distributor, i also bought a T-piece adaptor and off too the side it dosent clear the block or out the end the vacuum thingy.

so anyone using the stock dis with the an oil pressure gauge shed any light as too how you fitted the sender im thinking remote setup or replace the solid filter line for a fancy pants braided line.

You can always change the position of the distributor so the advance canister is out of the way. Just move the leads along the cap so that the rotor is pointing towards number 1 at TDC. Then reset the timing as normal.

Yep, I have this set up using a VDO gauge and didn't have any issues. Maybe my distributor 29d is different or whatever Can you post a picture and we'll see what can be done.

After all these years on Ausmini I still have no idea how to put photos up mainly because I could not be bothered. Regarding the Oil Pressure Switch/Sender problem. I encountered this when I was building my orange car because I have both Oil light switch and gauge sender. I ended up making an alloy block which I screw both switches in and then it has a flex line going to the original hole in the block. The actual alloy block is an actual manifold or an oil gallery call it what you like. It looks like a bit of Bling at the same time. I can send you photos if you PM me your email address.

Currently putting my engine back together and I use the VDO set up. I just turned everything around to make the clearance and readjusted the plug leads and timing. I did a sample set up for you in the attached photos.
