Sooooo bought a new stalk cause the old one likes to flash the high beams when I turn corners. I know the plugs have changed, and there is an extra spade connector.

I am thinking about making up a "Cross-over" cable, so I don;t have to pull the old plug off and "ruin" the old stalk (which has nothing wrong with it, just no return springs). I am not near my mini at the moment to look at the original connector, does anyone have any information or a spare plug I would be able to have to make a converter??

Why do you want to complicate things by adding unnecessary connections. Just use the plug housing from your original switch.
Swap wires over one by one colour to colour. simple.

Just of the mind that is left over from when my brother was working in car sound, you would make a header cable to go from the OEM harness to the head unit connector, for an easy swap if needed.

If you were changing them every 6 months then a cross over cable would be the go, but not really worth the effort IMO.

You could keep the loom original and modify the new indicator stalk plug. That way you can mix and match as needed and an original stalk is still compatible.

I had a similar feeling after buying a new indicator stalk.. new has a socket, old was bullet connectors. I ended up just cutting the plug off and soldering bullet connectors. I did think of changing to a entirely new plug/socket etc etc...!

As Morbo said you can modify the new one, cut the socket off it and use spade connectors to plug each wire into the existing plug..

Was easier than I was thinking it was going to be, plug was switched. Found out what the issue was the small plastic post that is the "clicker" for the High beam "lock" is loose. I might have a look to see what I can do with it.
