Lol my car keys for the Nissan open all but the boot of my mini. Apparently you can open one in fifty fords from XD to XF with your given key...not many cuts made at the factory... |

I only found out when I parked the vespa and removed the keys, the Mini keys..... The 2 keys look the same and have the same cut. I'll have to try the Vespa key in the Mini when I get back to Oz.. |

While I was an apprentice, in one of the classes the teacher showed the class that it was possible to open an LH Torana using a paddle pop stick & open & start an XD Falcon using the dipstick. Both of the cars were students cars so it wasn't like it was a pre-planned trick. Also between myself & quite a few of my mates who have had mid 90's Nissans (Pulsar, Skylines, S14's) it wasn't unusual that we could open & start each others cars. Brad |

A few years ago I was at a well attended get together and I had a bet with a mate that my key would open his car.... I still have the VERY well worn key that probably came with my Mini 5 decades ago. Not only did it open (and start) his car but worked the same on virtually every Mini we tried.... including one that the owner was very confident about as he'd just fitted new barrels to the doors and ignition... Cheers, Ian |

KA/KB lasers all you needed was a very small screwdriver to use as a key. |
