Post subject:  What's this switch panel?!

Just realised I've never seen one of these on a mini. Some wires running somewhere but doesn't seem to do anything. No fog lamps on the car and left and right things don't seem to do anything.

(Ok not sure why it's coming up sideways...)

EXH is to enable the sports exhaust :)

Ah so that's why I've been going so slow. Didn't enable sports exhaust.
Wait. Dammit button seems purely decorative. Or broken, cannot depress

The EXH button is usually wired up to an extractor fan under the driver's seat.

Thanks for the tip
Maybe it's broken, doesn't seem to be a pressable button. Will have to tinker

Solved!

Asked the old owner.

Apparently some kind of dodgy japanese pollution monitoring thing that was connected to the old exhaust.
Now redundant...

Just realised the useful comments went straight over my head. Not enough sleep :(

Red light on the left *should* be handbrake warning lamp - a local requirement.

The middle one is the Superman style heat ray that comes out of headlights, good for toasting the back of cars at the lights.

Left: Handbrake light - this is what Brickworx installed on complied cars.
Chances are if it doesn't work the wiring behind the light or the handbrake switch is to blame.
Middle: Rear fog light switch - the light was removed for compliance but the holes in the rear beaver panel will still be there if I'm correct.
Right: Catalytic converter overheat light. Pretty much pointless.

Beauty thanks for the detail. Yep the paperwork said it did go through brickworx so that makes sense. Not much seems to do anything, guess I'll just leave it all connected til a quiet day crops up...

I'd still check the wiring as my rover was the same and it didnt work when I got it.
The screw terminals on the back of the light come loose so check it, just in case the lights power source isn't fused.

Oh thanks for the tip, I'll definitely have a look behind. Would be good to have it going if it's a simple fix
