Post subject:  What did a 1976 clubman subframe use for packing?

Changing the cones in my clubman and refurbishing as l go, what did a 12/76 use for packing for the subframe to body, the gasket below the locktab on the tower, was it this (see link), minispares parts book says pre 1976, whatever my car has disintegrated a long time ago

yes, that's the plate between the subframe and the crossmember, it's a bit confusing why you're referring to the gasket between the locktab and crossmember though

forget the minispares parts book, it'll probably be referring to rubber mounted post '76 subframes

Apologies I meant the gasket under the lock tab, who sells them?

Just buy some gasket material or rubber sheet and cut your own. Quicker than looking for new ones online.
