Any alternators that i have wanted checked i take them to an Auto Electrician that's not far from me, they have a machine that they can put them on and run them up and check them , they usually only charge me $5 to check them . It looks like a clubbie alternator , do you know anyone with a mini that is running the same type ?, you could put it on their car and check the voltage with a multi-meter ![]() |

I have a Machine "Test Bench" for testing Alternators. It is much quicker than fitting it to a car and I can do tests on it that you can not perform on a Car. Like loading the crap out of the Alternator to see what it's maximum output is. Charging $5 to test is fair as this machine is worth over $10,000. to buy . |

I would like a couple of generators tested here in Sydney......pretty sure it'll be a lot more than $5..... Anyone recommend anyone who could test them in the north of Sydney? |
