Post subject:  Show us your Door Cards

Hi,
Sending my door cards off to be retrimmed soon. Looking for some photo inspiration to guide the trimmer with.

Car is a more or less original, very early Clubman with red lowback seats, so even though I'm finished grieving for the completely rooted original vinyl on the door cards, I'd like the new ones to look sympathetic with the rest of the car.

Show me what you've got!

Cheers,
Tom.

Red Clubman Cards, Left and Right. The Door Vinyl would need to be put onto new cards.

Are these any help to you.Image

I hope this isn't exactly a highjack of this thread, but…...
What material can "new cards" made from?
The original red, compressed cardboard looked cheap but worked well if not constantly soaked.
The usual modern offering is a black, bitumen-looking card but it warps easily and does not fold without cracking.
Does anyone know about a better material?
Bill

I used masonite when I did mine, it doesn't fold but they seem to hold their shape nicely and will be tougher than cardboard, more resistant to water to I'd bet.

I was tempted to use a thin 3mm ply as well.
