Hi all,
I got given a retro high pressure die cast number plate surround for my birthday, anyone know who and relationship Terry Crawford Motors had with minis. See attached, pretty cool piece I think!

Terry was a North Shore car dealer for several decades...may still be trading. He rallied a hot 1310 on a weber in a lot of the big rally's the Nanny State once had, like the Southern Cross Rally.

I "worked" (well I had a good attendance record :-) for an associate of Terry's who often had the Mini at his place. There was a really steep hill that was the dyno. The fella took me along for ballast a few times, peg 8 grand in 1, then 2 and see if it would achieve that smoothly and quickly...

Thanks for the reply, I love hearing stories that link to memorabilia items from the period.

Cheers,
Dan
