Post subject:  Morris Mini 850 Moulded Carpet
Hi all
I have been searching the threads for Moulded Carpet for an 850 so that it has the bulge for the floor starter.
I have tried Trufit, Knox and TST and none of them have the bulge for the floor starter.
Minispares UK does, but at $261 plus shipping, which is not too bad.

This a multipiece carpet but some of the moulded ones I have seen in posts have been in two piece plus the front wheel arch pieces.

This is a photo of the TST carpet but they said they don't have the bulge for the starter, but this does.

Any ideas where I should shop.

I have been talking to Brad Griegg at Nobull Accessories (Queensland Moulded Carpet) about moulded Carpet for my 850 with the floor starter bulge.
He is confident his carpet has the bulge but at last contact, he was going to check to make sure.

So it should include the Starter bulge.

all Australian floors have the bulge, but most didn't get a hole drilled in them

If the carpet fits a Leyland rod change, it will have the bulge for the starter. But you will need extra padding under the centre hump, when fitting the carpet to an 850, around the starter area.

As Simon says all later Oz built cars still had the starter bump in the floor. I found both Tru-Fit Carpets and Knox Carpets are moulded, and fit there pretty good. Just punch a hole for the starter switch.

There's a photo of a TST carpet set fitted to a '76 Leyland Mini in this thread.
Although the floor pan is different/later again than Simon's photo.
