Could anyone tell me the best way to go about cooling my 1330. Just rebuilt mildly hot engine. It has a four blade fan and a new 2 core radiator. I was thinking a small thermo fan under the left guard to help suck some heat out? Has anyone else had this issue? |

Put a Clubby heater core behind the grille. Hook into heater water circuit. |

First, I would be checking for blocked cores in the radiator. You would be really surprised how much scale comes loose from the engine blocks water jackets after an engine is rebuilt. |

Already checked that. I was hoping someone with a re13 cam had some insight into this as that is the cam I'm running. |

I have had 3 motors (1310, 1412, 1360) in my car with no overheating at all. All 3 ran an RE13 cam. However it still has the minimatic heater up front which works like adding a heater core behind the grille. Radiator is stock Mini K/Mini matic/Cooper S 3 core. Reconditioned. |

I never had a problem with the RE13, even after putting a supercharger on it - radiator sealed around the cowling so air can't get past without going through the radiator? ignition retarded? |

You can hide a lot of stuff with matt black paint |

Spray the core a thin coat of black and you won't notice it. |

Have a look just recently in the "what did you do on your mini today" thread and you'll see JPrior2912 has just installed one and added some pics. jprior2912 wrote: Took me most of today, but got to install my heater core/aux radiator (old clubby heater) lots of scratches from reaching down to change the bottom hose for one with a heater take off. but really happy with the results!
