The 4 speed synchro Australian manufactured layshafts from Heritage MG ,have a good reputation with few members of this forum. They now offer Australian made 22G 1100 3 speed synchro laygears, anyone using them or can vouch for their quality? Also they have 2ND gears for Midgets and Sprites also made in OZ with moly coated synchro faces.Wondering if anyone knows who the manufactures are and if they could apply this coating to already finished new gears? The pistons asked about by GOLDBROCADE 62 are possibly not the best to use in a high performance application due the slot in the oil ring groove, which could collapse under high cylinder pressures.

Heritage MG have, or had their own machine shop in the basement.
I know they used to make Mini primary gears and layshafts, I'm not sure what else though.
