Post subject:  Re: What gauges

The gauges which were factory fitted had mechanical oil pressure and electric water temp gauges.

I have mechanical gauges in my 850, a water temp and oil pressure. They work well, and don't have any problems with wiring or voltage issues. My water temp gauge has the reading in degrees C, rather than the C N H factory marked gauges.

Of course you can fit pretty much any gauge you want, as long as the sender is able to screw into the mini engine...

min13k: I had a choice of electric or mechanical gauges. As someone who knows next to nothing about these cars but learning I wanted to choose what they had originally, so I chose mechanical

I like mechanical myself as a personal preference over electric
