Excuse the ignorance, looking for the name of the roller bearing thingy (on very end of gear shaft in gearbox) and race it fits into ( in the inside of clutch housing ) so i can replace. You can see the roller on the end of the shaft next to idler gear, and it goes into race in housing. Cheers, Steve |

Inner race on the end of the shaft; outer race in the housing. |

Yeah but mini kingdom online has a lot better quality parts and better service with parts warranty on parts John at mini kingdom online knows the parts I'm talking about john and a bloke from the shop next door had never seen these parts with rubbers that hard and split and with a leaking welsh plug after about 4 months in the mini and less than 1000 km on the parts winabbey was there that day as well but didn't see me This problem was found the weekend before the mini in the gong show and only john was open at the time of year and I needed the parts to get down there I brought another pair off john and no dramas at all with the parts 2 years later well john gave me new rubbers to fix them the next time I went to get some other bits off him at no charge cause he asked how I went with karcraft |

IMPORTANT: When you replace the outer 1st motion shaft bearing (common name is outrigger bearing) you MUST replace its outer ring in the flywheel housing with the new one. In the old days when all these bearings were RHP brand we often didn't bother, however now there are at least 2 inside diameters to that ring. Even if the new one is RHP, it's probably different to your old one that's been in for years, because this diameter changed some years ago. |

+1 for John at Minikingdom! he knows his stuff and will help you with all he can. I don't order online I go in his store and he is great! Even with a couple of things he gave me a couple parts just to make sure I had the right 1 and didn't have to stuff around while the job was done and he just said bring back the ones you don't use. Highly recommend him |

Highly recommend him Same here and always at a discounted price than what's on his computer Even the parts I mentioned above were $13 cheaper each the second time around at johns mko I laughed when john told me when he got the online part going other parts places were telling him to raise his prices a bit well that's what you call competition |

I thought the rule was that "objectionable comments about a business or company, whether it be true or not, are not allowed"? That's right. Posts in this thread have now been modified. In future please use the report button to notify a moderator as we can't read all posts. I feel you are being a little quick to condemn. I've been buying mini parts since the 1960s. All suppliers have sold 'unmerchantable' products - even when they were genuine factory-supplied. Suppliers are stuck with what they are given in most cases. The best they can do is support customers and look for the best quality available when purchasing. We the consumers, are often at fault because we chase the "10 cent banana" then complain that it's gone off before using it. The suppliers are forced to sell "10 cent bananas" to stay competitive. These days, "customer service" is important because it makes the customer feel the business knows them and cares. |
