Re - Overfueling at high rpm's

Chasing an over fuelling issue with a 1275 with 100hp using a 2.25 needle valve in a 45DCOE. I have read text on the subject and it says a 1.75 /2.0 needle and seat would be the one to use.

Would running the slightly larger 2.25 needle valve cause an over rich condition / high float level?

I understand the theory behind it - Just don't know at what size difference would cause this overfueling pulsing to occur.

Just after some thoughts before I order a smaller needle valve.

No, the bigger needle & seat will merely allow more fuel flow on a bigger motor.
That said,it is pretty big- I run a 1.75 on the 1360's 45 Dellorto.

I have a read a few things now for the pulsing rich mix theory. I will order a 1.75 Monday and see what happens.
