Just slide the fan off the spindle, it just presses on. |

re your question about flap seal material, when I did up my `matic heater I used closed cell foam on it. it's about 6mm thick. |

I used circlip pliers to remove the metal clip from the fan first as this is the thing holding it tight. it is a tedious job to remove it but patience is your friend. clean the shaft with some emery paper and spray with some wd40 or similar before removing the fan. |

The heater core foam is to minimize the potential of the air to flow around the core instead of through it, but also to help locate the core in the heater box. There is probably more benefits that I've forgotten too. Cheers Brad |
