Hi Does any one have a picture of how the brake booster pipes run. Looking for a tidy setup 1275gt booster into a round nose mini. Seeking ideas Ta Kiwiinwgtn |

Have a look at a build thread that is running for a car that is being done for me. I don't know how to give you a link to the thread but it's under, members galley, Vinnie 1970 Cooper S. There was some discussion and pics about the pipes and the booster. Hope this helps |

This would be a good pic of what Wazza is talking about. But you're not after the British Mk3 Booster are you? ![]() |

In the following picture the pipe that runs from the nose of the booster to the three-way connector on the firewall should be lower (i.e. the curve as it exits the booster is parallel to the ground and the pipe runs under the vacuum hose then curves down to the three-way). Quote: The PBR booster was VH44-JA; J= higher line out pressure; A= vacuum canister turned 180 degrees to fit on RH guard. Does this also mean that the MkII does not have a bracket holding the nose (like UK Lockheed) as in photo and does not have a clamp holding the inlet and outlet pipes? |

Just to reinforce what Morris 1100 has said, the photo of Wazza's build as posted by Mick above is not the factory method of installing the PBR booster. This was mentioned in Wazza's build thread. It shouldn't cause problems being done that way, just an overkill given the correct mounting bracket is being used. It stands out as being different to anyone looking for a factory set-up for a concourse car. |

I've always hated having a booster in the engine bay - it's in the way, and moving it to do anything means re-bleeding the brakes. I don't use one, but if I did I'd stick it under the dash or under the mudguard. |

Pernell's Original Cooper and Cooper S features a red Cooper S which had the pipes admirably plumbed following the side of the engine bay, and along the cross member. It looked very professional, but I've not seen one plumbed this way since. |
