Hi All, I am in the process of restoring my LS and I need some advise, 1..Does anyone know the part number of the rear brake cylinders and shoes,(there seems to be different bore sizes available in the cylinders and the car does have discs on front) 2..The P/N for the brake master cylinder. 3..The P/N for the coolant temp sensor. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks Felix |

GMC227- DUAL CIRCUIT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER FOR 1977 ON 3..The P/N for the coolant temp sensor. GTR104 I THINK these are the bits. I'm led to believe all aussie rear W/C are 5/8 when disc are up front. |

"Just pulled the old wheel cylinders apart and measured the bore 3/4" ? Looks like someone may have put wrong ones in. |

Its only under the hardest braking that the difference in sizes becomes apparent. The rear lifts more with the better braking of the discs and will lock up. |

Having almost lost a disc braked Mini in the wet @ 110kmh on the F3 freeway, because the PO had kept 3/4" RW cylinders on, I would say fit 5/8" ones. 3/4 cyls + front discs = bloody dangerous in an emergency. |

Thanks again for info, I will defenitely fit the 5/8 cylinders. Off to Karkraft tomorrow but first I need to get the master cylinder out and take it with me as it appears to be a tandem type. I might just rekit it if it looks OK Regards Felix |

Before I took the master cylinder out this morning I noticed the brake pedal was a lot higher than the clutch pedal.Brake pedal is 135mm from floor to pedal with carpet and rubber pad removed and the clutch is 110mm. On my previous minis these pedals were the same height. Does anyone know which height is correct or could it be that the brake master cylinder fitted is wrong? Also should I be changing or rekiting my clutch M/clinder whilst the brake M/cylinder is out (The clutch is working fine) Thanks Felix |

Cooper S with disc brakes had the higher pedal std, so did the GT, I'd say the LS is probably the same story.
