solution: look around in the shed for old paint brushes and then look harder to find some even olderhouse paint (nothing different between house paint and the paint they used on mini's 40 years ago!) that your parents wont know is missing if u use some!!! if u dont have the colour u are after then mix some food dye or pen ink or anything with heaps of colour into the paint(stir) to get the desired texture!! use the brushes to apply the first coat of paint on. apply untill u have got the application u want!!!!! remember if the paint cracks within 10 years dulux will give u ur money back. from telling you this ur gain is my loss!!!

i painted all my interior with a roller brush, car paint and a whole lot of thinner... many layers later and it sure looks fine
the trick is to thin out the paint so much that when you roll it on, the viscosity is so low it spreads out evenly by itself. patience and the addiction to thinner fumes is reccommended
