Any one got any ideas as to whether or not a MINI with front drums has the same wheel track as a MINI with front discs????? Providing Rim/Tyre combo was the same. Is some thing I have always wondered about. Any comments would be great.

With the same wheels (eg S ones) the front track of a Mini with spacered drums is the same as a Cooper S with discs.

So your saying that if you had standard drums on, the track would be less, but if you had spacered drums, (like those on the rear of an S) the track would be the same?

Yes.

The spacered SEDAN drums are about 25mm thicker than the non- spacered early ones.

Note that there's also a MOKE one that's 19mm thicker than the early ones.. :?
