hey, i'm wanting to upgrade my 72 clubbie to dual circuit brakes. has anyone done this on their mini's? if so, do you have to get different front and rear brake lines to get master cylinder to fit?

cheers, Cazmo

To do the engine conversion i had to get dual circut brakes to keep the engineer happy, it wont help braking at all, it is only a safety device. If one circut fails the other will stop you, well try to.
Anyway you will need a dual master cylinder and new brake line for the rears. The guys that did mine took the rear line from where it enters the brake light switch and just extended it to the master cylinder. Then the fronts hook up to the other hole out of the master. Pretty simple unless you have a booster like me, then you have to go thru the booster first with the front line before the brakes.

I picked up a second hand master for $30 but its in need of a seal kit as it is leaking inside it somehow. This will be done once i get the turbo back from GCG turbos and the painter is finished. There are also new ones at karcraft.

i wanted to do it coz my master cylinder is leaking and i have a dual circuit master cylinder lying around. im also looking into all the things i have to do for a swift engine conversion. i'll probably just get a kit for my master cylinder for now though coz it's a bit too much mucking around.

thanks for your help guys.
