Morning all, currently rebuilding my 998, which is all a very big learning curve for me! any way, i purchased a VRS set and it only came with 4 valve stem seals. when i pulled apart my engine i pulled of 8 valve stem seals. my question is how many do i actually need? thanks in advanced Ollie |

Just four for the intake valves. The theory being that the exhaust valve stems need a bit of extra lubrication, and it should suck oil on the exhaust side anyway. |

As above, just four on the intakes. There's no suction on the exhausts to drag the oil down, besides which they get lots hotter and the seals just go hard anyway... |
