How long is a piece of string. The cost will vary greatly depending on how the motor has been built. You have to consider - Head- what is it? whats been done to it? - Cam- what is it? - Gearbox- is it good? What is it? 3 syncro, 4syncro, rod or remote? - How long ago was the motor built? When was it last run? - Who built it? What parts did they use? The cost of a decent 1275 motor in good running condition is about $3000 I had my motor rebuilt including the box for a tad over $4000, that does not include purchasing the motor and box in the first place. And its a fairly mild motor. So to answer your question. Anywhere between $1000 and $10000. Ryan |

The last complete 1100S motor I purchased was on ebay and I paid $450 for it. They are not as rare and valable as everyone makes out them to be. Complete A+ 1275s are still available from various importers, they sell for around $1000/$1200 depending on how greedy the seller is. |

I paid $1400 for a running in the car donk. I took it for a test drive before I pulled it out and it is a decent motor. It has a KAD quick shift, twin carbies, Gemini starter, pulsar dizzy and a few other goodies. I thought it was a very good deal at that price so I grabbed it. I'd say any 1275cc donk on a rear box in half decent condition is worth around 1k, something ready to bolt in and run would be around 2-3k. If it has some really good stuff on it or it's over bored and making decent power that could be up to 5k and more. |

1100S had a single HS4. Same manifold as the late 998 Clubby or 1275LS. |

Is the body good? The car runs ok? Please don't wreck another 1100 just for a 1275 ![]() There are precious few running examples now! Just get an A+ donk, and it will be newer to boot... Cheers Jacob |

I've got a couple of 1275LS at work, the manifolds look the same to me. One has had an HIF44 bolted onto the manifold with the 2 original studs only. A+ motors from 198? on in UK got a different one, with an HIF44 carb. |

1275 LS & 1275 Moke manifolds had a larger exhaust outlet, pipe & clamp. |

looking at ebay this seems to be about right. But who knows if they sell or not? I never get the time to watch the auctions till they end. But that said, I got a whole running, close to roadworthy car with 1100S motor for $3500. |
