Can anyone please tell me the design direction of radiator airflow for the mini, is the fan meant to pull air towards the engine thru the radiator or push it away from the engine thru the radiator.

If it's mounted on the other side of the radiator to the original belt-driven fan then yes, a thermo fan sucks air thru.
