Does anyone know where I can get front and rear shaped window rubbers?
The ones I have are straight and will just bunch up in the corners.

Thanks.

That usually happens when your they are too long. Most are 'off the roll' and they always give you that bit extra, which needs trimming. Also, keep in mind that the MKII on, UK rear windows are bigger than ours and the rubbers seem to always be cut for the UK cars.

I've had Windscreen O'Briens install the front & rear screens on 4 different cars over time, and had them supply the front & rear rubbers to suit, which were the correct size, one piece and shaped. Fitted perfectly.

I got a quote off them, they wanted $500 labour to install the windows plus the cost of any seals / windows.

I was hoping to find the right seals somewhere and even give it a crack myself, even just one window.

I think the seals Heritage MG sell are shaped and moulded together at the right lenth. $500 bucks is rediculous. Our local guy charges us $50 to remove and replace a mini windscreen if we don't feel like doing it.

And you should imo have a go, there are some other threads on here about doing it and its not that hard. Just go easy on the glass. Have a crack but don't crack it! :D

Anyone tried the rover front windscreen seals? They have a wider section of rubber than early cars and are supposed to seal better.

WTF, $500, they're on drugs, or should be! Never cost me any where near that.

Did you ask them about supplying just the seals?

Those window seals do the job Harley.
Before I moved I got a new front w/screen (they supplied) without the top tint and had both front and rear windows fitted (I supplied new window seals and locking strip for about $325 . . .

I'm in Brisbane - can you please tell who the $50.00 man is, as I need front and rear screens fitted.

The $50 man probably won't be that cheap for you as thats trade price and in his local area, but he is still really good. I was just looking through yellow pages and i'm pretty sure he is River City Auto Glass 0412 303 826. He is on the southside though(Logan), name is Gary, highly recommend him.
