Morning all,

currently rebuilding my 998, which is all a very big learning curve for me! any way, i purchased a VRS set and it only came with 4 valve stem seals. when i pulled apart my engine i pulled of 8 valve stem seals. my question is how many do i actually need?

thanks in advanced

Ollie

Just four for the intake valves.
The theory being that the exhaust valve stems need a bit of extra lubrication, and it should suck oil on the exhaust side anyway.

As above, just four on the intakes. There's no suction on the exhausts to drag the oil down, besides which they get lots hotter and the seals just go hard anyway...
