hey has anyone got these spare that are known to be working and is in sydney??

HS4 carbi, dizzy and ignition coil.

if so...how much u want for them and

if it is possible, could i somehow burrow them just to figure out what part of these of mine is faulty as i cant seem to figure out what needs to be changed....

i have checked everything but no success for days now and i have given up... i might as well just burrow someone's and test them one by one to see what works then il know what part of mine is stuffed exactly.

even if i leave u guys say a deposit of some sort and when i return them to u, the swap will be reversed again.

thanks heaps guys.

What seems to be the problem, is it not starting at all or are you getting a bad idle? If it isn't starting at all you may hve burnt out your points and condensor, after reading your last post it is a good possiblity, as when you reverse the low tension wires on the coil it burns out the points. Most people will just replace the points but replace the condesor too, who knows when that was replcaed last. If not i have a few bits you could borrow, no carb though, well not that would nee to be put back together. But i do have an 1100 dissy and an old coil around.

Cheers

Aaron

hey, r u in sydney dude?? if so where abouts....and what would u like me to leave as a deposit?

its a really rough idle and backfires and misses from 3.5K onwards....
starts up ok but sounds like a rotor/VW mixed together.

i just wanna cancel down the possibilities as im sick of trying.

i took apart the dizzy and nothing seems to be wrong with it visually but i suspect the condenser and points need changing anyway so im going to change them...as for the coil, i wanna make sure this one is fugged before buying a new one as they are not that cheap especially if i find out that i didnt need a new one cause the one in there now looks pretty new.

PM me where abouts sydney u are and what u want for a deposit....or maybe even possibly u would like to come down and help me out??

I got a spare HS4 but not that practical, being in blighty n all.
Guess I could throw it in the sea and see if it gets there. You'll prob. find it frozen in an iceberg somewhere aroung norway though, so best not...
