Post subject: | Jets & Chokes etc for a 40DCOE |
Im after some infomation on what Jets etc, to use on a 40DCOE... I got a 1275 going in my moke project and was thinking of using the 40DCOE that i have in the shed.. Anything against using a 40 on a 1380cc.. My 45DCOE runs 38mm chokes anyhow.. So a 40 isnt to small i would had thought, just harder to find info on.... |

Vizard's book I believe does have some info for 40DCOE. I used to run a 40mm on mine and might also have some info (at worst I could pull it apart and check as it is still sitiing in the cupboard). However, all that is at home, not here at work. KB |

From Vizard (1275 + modified head) Choke 35 Mains 145 Air correction 180 Emulsion tube F16 pump jet 45 idle jet 50F2 The only difference between this and 45DCOE with a head, cam and extractors is the 45 recommends 38 chokes; 165-170 mains; and an F2 emulsion - everything else is similar. |

i ran a 40DCOE on a standard 1275 for a few sprint meetings .. had no problem with it ... all i can remember is that it had 32mm chokes in it ... ran o.k alltho it did lean out under light throttle .. might even be running the 40 with a full blown 1293 race motor ![]() But then again it might have to be traded for a 45 |
