The copper AF460 gaskets are not the best any more- they tend to leak water at the front and the ends. I only use them if people insist, and then I smear Loctite 515 Master Gasket around the outer edge. Better by far for a 1275 or bigger is the BK450 black so-called `Turbo' gasket. It's cheaper too. ![]() |

4 pairs of flared jeans for $70....not bad! ![]() Coincidently the Mini innocenti type flairs are about that price (ugly as sin IMHO) Standard clubman or round nose flairs are $33 each. Usually $40 each though. Thats the original plastic flairs that crack when you look at them! ![]() |

[quote="minitec"]Coincidently the Mini innocenti type flairs are about that price (ugly as sin IMHO) I resemble that remark! ![]() They are cheap, easy to fit, are the right colour (black) to go with my car (red), and are just legal with normal Mini Contessas. ![]() If I bust one they are all available separately. One problem- the dumbnuts supply them with MS self tappers that rust the night you fit them. I fling 'em and use S/S ones from my friendly Bias Boating Warehouse.. |

Yea I read before that you have them and like them...I was waiting for your reply. No offence, I think you stated before that they are cheap and do the job. fair call.... personally I prefer originallity over anything else, hence my preference for original flairs, and flares too.... ![]() |

Seriously its all getting much weirder. 850pvan got his jeans with the van (lucky they were the right size), the Dr "resembles" a remark (the two probably have the same eyes) and Minitec (aka ....) despises the innocenti which was getting in terms of good design and usability where the brits never managed to. |

I had to put something on the `Matic to cover the 10x5 Contessas- and welding sheet metal in for the (now no longer made) MK2 flairs didn't seem kosher... ![]() Only other problem with the Inno ones- the black plastic strip shrinks and gets shorter. I flung them and fitted some black pinchweld... it doesn't need to be glued on, either! |
