I thought it was agreed upon that those type of wheels were generally unsafe?

no that was wat some people thought.

theyre fine, there is no speed restrictions anywhere, the rims themselves are strong and sturdy, theyre fine.

before i bought themim was in contact witha person who had tehm on a mini and they were happy with them, i ahve pics somewhere of their car

No, those flares on the clubby wouldn't be legal, he was just putting the rims on the clubby for a looksie - if you look closely the last pic has 13x5's on it. These chrome golf buggy rims are on his green roundy now - WITH massive flares ;)

That looks so cool. There is something about cars that look twice as wide as they are tall. I wish flares weren't a requirement.

Not sure on rim width, I think the US ones are 10x7, and those Double Eagle golf cart tyres are 205/50-10. :wink:

yeah not very legal at all


i have spped tested them to ..... :roll: kph and they were fine, squeal a bit, but only from the wind on the tires

but the mk1 wont have to worry about even thinkin of those speeds!!!

the tyres are 10x 5 x205

and rims are 10x7

imthinkin of geting street slicks for it at some stage
