Is there anywhere in Australia that you can buy performance cylinder heads. In the UK you can, but what about here in AUS. |

So what does an aluminium head give you that steel does not? The reason they flow better is that it is allready cast that way, so what else is there to justify the cost? |

The reason they flow better is that it is allready cast that way, so what else is there to justify the cost? Hmmm... 1. Theoretically- better heat transfer will allow higher C/R. 2. It has unleaded seats in already. 3. It's more prone to warp, like any alloy head. 4. It's more prone to corrode, " "" "" "" . You pays your $$$$, and makes your choice............. ![]() ![]() |

Just buy an existing head and get it modified to your liking - unless you feel like getting one landed from the UK? |

Why discount the Elder head? Elder heads make massive power gains (yes, it needs new intake/exhaust) but its money well spent. Peter. |

If I were to buy an alloy head it would have to be an Elder... ![]() |

Nothing at all wrong with the Elder 8 porter, except you will spend more $$$ for more performance. Money well spent if you have the do$h. ![]() I put the Pierce 5 port alloy head details up for interest's sake only- unlike the Elder, it's a bolt on job with your existing manifolds, rockers, etc.. |

Absolutely, Power costs $$ and if you got $$ you cant beat the Elder 8 port on an A series for value! Peter. |
