I am having a Mini built by Brickworx racing in S.A., Does anyone have any knowledge of their workmanship, either positive or negative.

Welcome - back to Mini-ing ... and to doing it on the Internet

I've had long distance dealings with them for quite a few years now - never had any problems personally. I've rung them a few times for bits and always received the right ones in good time. I have heard of other having problems though - mainly in the early days and from the SA locals.

What are the specs of the Mini they're building for you?

Welcome back to mini's and welcome to Ausmini , I've moved this up to mini chat rather than new mini which is for the new , BMW MINI . Due to the rules of ausmini negative comments about companies are not allowed so you will likely only see good things posted about any company by name . If people have had problems they might PM you with them . Steve from Brickworx is on here (so are a few of his employees) and from what I've read well regarded in the mini community .

Welcome, Davo! :D

My one (and currently only) dealing with Brickworx was swift, easy and cheaper than i expected. 8)

Will definitely go back to Brickworx - albeit the different state.

Whereabouts in Melb are you?

brickworx is great

would recommend them everytime, hes got everything and knows where everything goes, and what parts are interchangeable

he import lots of rovers so its possible to get good parts for your ride rather than using old stuff

if that madde ne sense

cheers

Negatives... He's not the best looking bloke, and he used to have a strange side-kick with initials WG

brickworxs is great steve has everything i have needed from him for my mini rebuild have only seen the man in person once in the three years i have been buying bit. every thing i have brought is how he says it is. and questions, we have steve on speed dial and he always has the answer. his knowlodge of mini is excellent and i have no worry in sending my money into a different state just for the excellent service i get. i just wished i live closer i hate waiting for the post man. :)
