my yellow number plate is "YVW-256"
and the only reason i chose it over a white one is that i see the logic in it as: "why VolksWagen(beetle)? when you can have a mini?"

what i want to do is to put a 'question mark curl' on top of the middle dot so it'll read "YVW?256"

is this legal? would this be seen as a change in character to mislead the authorities?

thanks

I think you'll find that the authorities WONT hassle you about it UNLESS you are getting a roadworthy check..... because ANYTHING on your rego plates is illegal (other than LPG stickers). There is a decent fine for "obscuring a rego plate" in all states of australia. Try it at your own risk....

My plate is "MINI 13" and I have a small dot between the 1 and 3, and a small "i" afetr the 3 so that it reads MINI 1.3i (Rover 1.3 SPi)

When the police fined me $110 and 3 demerit point for not having the front number plate "vertical" they didn't say anything - which suprised me

I just had to buy a new set of number plates because the ones on the the commode were faded and wouldn't photograph well. I was very strongly advised to do this by the Pink slip man.

He said that the local Highway Patrol team were blitzing on this as after the death of the officer during a radar session on the central coast, police were not doing "out of car" radar in speed zone areas greater than 80 kmh.

This means a greater reliance on car mounted radar cameras that do not involve stopping the speeding motorist and it requires good clear number plates to photograph. I think any tampering with number plates WILL attract attention from the police currently.l

Just who is that in whose Mini ????????

I am just a wee slip of a bloke and I couldn't get into a mini boot without being folded appropriately by the mafia.

Hahaha - Yeah I saw that series of photos not that long back and heard Emm's comments about being locked in.

Good photos though and worthy of keeping for embarrassment at some later point in life.
