Just wanting to get peoples thoughts, how much would you pay for a right hand tank?

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/MORRIS-MINI-COOP ... dZViewItem

Is this outright profittering or a reasonable price?

hmmm if i was doing a cooper S resto and really needed a RH tank i may.

I would have thought $300 is a reasonable price for a RH tank personally, but then
again, we all know that minis and their parts are appreciating at a rate of knots. The more we fight it the more we keep the values of our own cars and parts down, If we jump on the wave and ride it, then our cars will be worth more..... but thats a seperate issue.

I think its a bit pricey as i dont need one, If i did, id pay it

Watch it and see if it gets any interest , if it doesn't then offer him a lower price afterwards , if someone buys it with the buy it now then some people think they are worth that much now . I would have thought it was a little high but they are getting harder and harder to find in good condition .

Ian, i don't need one myself, i have several of them, just wondering if the price is more than its worth, i saw one on ebay last week sell in the high $400's, i sold a couple of tanks to the us a few years ago for $350 each & thought that was really good money.

No worries then , it will be interesting to see if anyone buys it at that price though . I wonder if it would be worth while seeing a sheet metal place to see if anyone can make a set of dies to spamp new ones before they are too rare to get some made ?

What really gets up my nose is the number that have probably gone to the tip because they were rusted out the bottom....lets just repair the old stock so that there isn't an artificial market created for Stradivarius R/H tanks

Looks like a decent tank.

It is too expensive if no one buys it. Otherwise, if it sells, it is market value.

I have been restoring my GT tanks over the last 2 weeks. Used silver POR15, then satin black on the outside. 8)

Good man... Not a huge fan of the powdercoated and highly glossy fuel tanks.

Satin works well 8)

I have a right hand tank, and have knocked back $400 for it.
I want to keep it in case I need it and have trouble getting another.
John.
