For twin HS2's on a 1275, should I use red or blue springs?

Depends on if your running standard air box or sports filters - in which case I'd vote red.

Pretty sure the reds are stronger.
It depends on state of tune which you want.

standard GT (Cooper S) air box

red are stronger (4.5 oz). So that will make piston rise slower yea?

Well.. stronger springs will make it rise less, but the rate of rise is a function of the dashpot's oil viscosity.

Vizard recommends red springs in all cases for twin HS2 on a 1275S, modded or not. I reckon with blues they would be wide open too soon, then you have lost mixture control.

For a well modded 1275, twin HS2s are too small. :x
